Attendance is really important at Moorthorpe Primary School!
Last year 2022/23 our school attendance increased to 93.8%, slightly below National at 94%. This was a result of close partnership work between home, school and our EWO (Education Welfare Officer) and a relentless drive from leadership to promote good attendance and address high levels of absence.

Autumn term 2023 was 94.8% in line with National at 94.9%. 57 children received 100% certificates.
40 pupils (16%) were classed as PA (Persistent Absent) for less than 90% attendance.
We share weekly class figures in assembly each week and the winning class receive a trophy.

Attendance graphs on classroom doors highlights the progress throughout the half term.
