Primary Teaching Assistant

The governors and headteacher of Moorthorpe Primary School with Inclusion Resource are looking to recruit a highly resilient teaching assistant to support the teaching and learning of two children in our mainstream provision with EHCPs.
The successful applicant will support two children in KS1 who require positive behaviour support to access learning. You will be supported in the role by the class teacher, an experienced SENCo and the Senior Leadership team.
The successful person will:
- Be a warm and caring individual who can build positive relationships with young children
- Have a good understanding of behaviour management strategies, including de-escalation techniques
- Be resilient and have a flexible and supportive approach to changing demands
- Be highly motivated, have strong teamwork skills and a ‘can do’ approach to their work.
- Be a strong communicator who is a nurturing, patient and positive individual
- Have good literacy and mathematics skills
