To follow on from our learning about animals, we had a fabulous day at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park yesterday.

We had lots of fun and saw some amazing animals. We even heard the lions roar. It was so loud! The giraffes came out to eat and the tigers were strolling around for us to see. The lemurs ran past us to come and eat their food. They were so fast and could jump so high! We learned a lot in the outdoor classroom. We felt and smelt camel fur, snake skin and ostrich feathers. We looked at  polar bear, zebra and otter skulls. We even got to touch a large African snail, a cockraoch and a lizrd called Leo!

Have a look at our photos and see what an amazing day we had.

Thank you to our PTA for our new high visablitiy jackets for our school trips, they were great!

We even joined in with the minutes silence the Wildlife park was holding for the people affected in Machester and London.

We had an awesome day even if the sun didn't shine!

I am so proud of you Year One, you were a credit to your parents and our school.
