Welcome to Moorthorpe Primary School with Inclusion Resource.

I am immensely proud to be the headteacher of such a wonderful school. Moorthorpe Primary is like a family and we work in close partnership between home and school for the benefit of every child.

We are fortunate to have very supportive parents and governors and we strive to work together to give every child a happy and rewarding primary school experience and positive memories that will last long into adulthood.

Excellent pastoral care is as important to us as academic achievement. We believe in a relevant, stimulating, broad and balanced curriculum where each child’s unique talents are both developed and celebrated. We work hard to get the best possible academic results in English and Mathematics but we also strive to offer a broad, ambitious knowledge rich curriculum that meets the needs of the Moorthorpe child. We bring in experts in music, IT and sports to give children many opportunities to shine both within and beyond the school day.

We aim to prepare children to be successful learners who enjoy learning. We also help children to gain the essential skills that will prepare them to be happy, healthy and confident individuals and responsible citizens of the future.

Our inclusion resource (opened in Sept 2021) is an enhanced mainstream provision and has been a wonderful addition to the school. The pupils and staff are an integral part of our school, I’m delighted the new school name reflects this.

Moorthorpe Primary School with Inclusion Resource is a very special place to be and you are invited to look around our website to discover more about our school for yourselves.
