Super Star rappers!!!
This week we have been rapping our 9 times tables! We have some amazing rappers in year 4 (and some superb dance moves!!!). We have found that using songs has helped us to learn our tables.
Trainee Vets!
This week in maths we are trainee vets! We are weighing different "animals" and converting from grams to kg. We are also learning how to use scales and how to read a scale. We looked at the number of divisions on the scale to work out what each one was worth.
Hunne's Hair Cut
Hunne had her hair cut for the charity 'Little Princesses'. She had her hair cut in assembly by Miss Turner! She raised over £350 - which is enough for 1 wig!
Gaudi Inspired Buildings

Year 6 Battle of Britain
Year 6 have used the green screen and have created a Battle of Britain News Report. They have worked very hard and we are really impressed with the results - it looks like you were actually there!
Carol singing in the community
Our Year 5 Childen have kept the whole of South Elmsall entertained! We have been singing at Asda and made all the staff and customers feel very festive.
Then we brightened up the residents of MellWood House and Ward Aldam residential homes by singing carols and getting them up…
The Big Bake
Year 5 took part in Wallace and Gromit's Big Bake to raise money for Childrens Charities. They raised an outstanding £121.05 on the day! Thank you to everyone who donated and enjoyed the cakes and a cuppa!
Girls Football
Tonight girls for year 4 and 5 showed off their football skills in a match between Moorthorpe and Stockingate. Both teams played well and really enjoyed the match!
Shine visit to York University
This week year 5 /6 went to spend a whole day at York University!!! We found out what it was like to be a student and we also learnt that there were over 17,000 students at the university (lots more than at a primary school!). We really enjoyed the gnome hunt around the campus!
